Our story

We built Slap On because remembering shouldn't be the hardest part of feeling better.

Most wellness asks something of you before it gives anything back — a glass of water, a routine, a 6am alarm. Slap On is the version that doesn't.

01 · The gap

Pills get forgotten. Drinks get skipped. Routines get derailed by Tuesdays.

We watched friends in Bangalore spend more on supplements than on coffee, and still feel like the bottle on their kitchen counter was judging them. Adherence — the boring word for “actually doing the thing” — is where most wellness quietly fails.

Transdermal patches solved this for medicine in the 1980s. Nicotine patches, hormone patches, motion-sickness patches — all engineered around the same insight: if the active ingredient enters slowly, through the skin, you don't have to remember anything except taking it off when it's done.

We thought: that's the form factor. The category was waiting for someone to bring it to mood, focus, and the cycle — without dressing it up as something ancient or something pharmaceutical.

02 · The brief

Our internal brief is one sentence: take it off after eight hours and feel a notch better.

No miracle. No cure. No 98% of users felt calmer. We're not interested in the bar where the claim has to be loud — we're interested in the bar where the effect has to be honest. A notch is the right size of promise for something you wear on your shoulder.

Each patch is built around four principles. Every active ingredient has to have published evidence at the dose we're using. Every excipient has to be dermatologically defensible. Every claim on the box has to map to a study in a file we can show a regulator. Every ingredient's supplier and origin has to live on a page on this site, not in a folder we don't share.

You can read that file at our quality & traceability page.

“The first hour at my desk after I put on Zone On felt easier — like the noise was a notch lower.”

03 · The workshop

Manufactured under FDA-approved GMP conditions. Verified by a NABL-accredited lab. Reviewed by people you can call.

Our patches are produced in a contract facility with the same quality systems used for prescription transdermals. Each batch is tested independently — if the lab report doesn't match the spec, the batch doesn't leave the warehouse.

Every product is reviewed by a specialist before it launches: a sleep neurologist for Zone On, a gynaecologist for Flow On, and a pharmacologist with transdermal experience for the line as a whole. Their names, their NMC registration numbers, and their letters live on the quality page. (We're publishing those names as the appointments are confirmed — a placeholder is a promissory note we don't like making.)

04 · Behind it

Slap On is curated by a Johns Hopkins–trained public-health researcher and a small studio in Bangalore.

We are not a marketplace, we are not a holding company, and we are not running a factory in our parents' basement. We design the formulations, write the copy, take the photos, and answer the WhatsApps. If something on this site is wrong, the chain of accountability is short — usually about three people.

The brand is built in India, for the version of India that doesn't want to be told its wellness should look like a temple, a science lab, or a Californian juice bar. It can look like itself. That's most of what we're trying to do here.

Wear your best mood.

Pick a patch, slap it on a clean patch of skin, and forget about it for the next eight hours. That's it. That's the brand.
